Lori A. Vanderwill works as a Research Scientist with the School of Social Work and Partners for Our Children. She is a Ph.D. Candidate at Wayne State University in the School of Social Work and earned an MSW from The University of Michigan. While engaging in research on trauma-informed practices, social-emotional learning, youth and adolescent mental health, child well-being, and child welfare (foster and adoptive outcomes), she also worked as a school-based therapist in Detroit Public Schools. Her work in research includes program evaluation, development of fidelity measures, project management, and collaboration with multiple pilot sites and committees to ensure success of the projects. Lori is passionate about improving the outcomes of our children and youth!
