HB 1314 amends current statute to include clear responsibilities of the health care authority during the audit process. The bill states that:  The authority and its contractors may not perform an audit of  a health care provider within three years of the federal government  conducting an audit of that health care provider. This prohibition applies whether the federal government conducts the audit directly or through a contractor, including the authority acting as a contractor

Additionally, HB 1314 amends law to state that no money from the Medicaid fraud penalty account may be disbursed to the health care authority.
