HB 2183 establishes the Erin's Law Task Force for the purpose of creating and implementing a curriculum for the prevention of sexual abuse for students from kindergarten through grade twelve in Washington State. The task force must choose or develop a model curriculum and make implementation recommendations to appropriate committees of the legislature by December 1, 2016.
HB 2183 was introduced in the 2015 session but did not come out of the House Education Committee and was retained in its present status. In 2016 the bill was heard, amended and exec'd in the Education Committee and referred to Appropriations. It was not heard and therefore is dead.
