Rep. Eslick

HB2626 establishes that a person or his or her dependent or dependent child is exempt from any immunization requirements imposed by any law, rule, or order, including as a condition of employment,  school attendance, professional licensure, or educational certification or degree, unless specific criteria are met.

Attendance of every child at every public and private school in the state and licensed day care centers requires presentation before or on each child's first day of attendance proof of either (a) full immunization, (b) the initiation of and compliance with a schedule of immunization, as required by rules of the state board of health, or (c) a certificate of exemption.  The bill would be effective immediately to protect the public’s safety and health.
