This bill will amend the Public Health Service Act to expand programs for children to receive mental health services in school settings, including screening, treatment, and outreach programs.

Programs are directed towards children dealing with traumatic experiences, risk of suicide, and violence. Supports should be trauma-informed, culturally appropriate, and utilize positive behavioral interventions and supports. Funding can be used towards awareness programs, staff training, technical assistance, and facilitating community partnerships.
