Sen. Schatz, Brian

This bill will guarantee 12 weeks of paid family leave for federal employees in all instances covered by the Family and Medical Leave Act, including to care for a spouse, child, or parent of the employee and because of a serious health condition of the employee that makes them unable to perform in their current position. Currently, employees are allowed to take 12 weeks of leave without risk of losing their job, but leave is unpaid.
