This bill will amend the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) to provide Tribal Nations with resources to combat child abuse and neglect by requiring CAPTA to include Tribal Nations in the equitable distribution criteria for federal funding. The bill also increases the dedicated Tribal funding from 1% to 5% and will require a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on child abuse and neglect prevention efforts in tribal communities that is conducted in consultation with tribal nations.
