This act amends language in RCW 9.91.140 from “food stamps” to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

This bill adds a new section the RCW Chapter 9.91 to read:

§  A person who knowingly uses, presents, transfers, acquires, or possesses unauthorized SNAP benefits is guilty of:

       oA class C felony if the face value of the benefits exceeds $750;

         oA gross misdemeanor if the face value of the benefits is $750 or less.
