The Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program will be expanded by increasing fruit and vegetable benefits. This benefit shall be of no less than $32 per summer farmer’s market season. To the extent that they are available, federal funds must be used to pay for this benefit.
Amendments:
1st Substitute:
- Expands the Farmer's Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) for Women, Infants, and Children program participants.
- Increases the FMNP benefit from $28 to $32 for the summer season, subject to appropriations.
- Clarifies that to the extent federal funds are available, DOH will use federal funds up to the maximum benefit allowable under federal law.
