This resolution expresses support for the designation of National Child Poverty Prevention month, recognizes the national impact of the prevalence of poverty among America’s children, supports intervention and prevention efforts to reduce the number of children in the US suffering from poverty, and calls upon communities to observe National Child Poverty Prevention Month with appropriate programs and activities that promote awareness and prevention of child poverty.
