The bill states that anyone who has a final finding issued by the Department of Social and Health Services of abuse or neglect of a minor or abuse, abandonment, neglect, or financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult may not hold or apply for a license or temporary practice permit in any health profession until the proceedings of the appropriate disciplining authority have been completed. Under existing law, individuals with such a finding are already prohibited from employment in the care of vulnerable adults. This bill would use that same criteria to determine whether an individual’s license should be suspended.
