HB 1166: Expanding access to the homeless and foster care college students pilot program

HB1166 expands the homeless and foster care college student pilot program from four to across eight college districts, to provide assistance to students who currently experience homelessness or experienced the foster care system upon their graduation from high school. 

The pilot program will continue to include accommodations, such as, access to food banks, access to technology, case management, and access to short-term housing. 

The pilot program expires July 1, 2024.

Substitute Bill:

  • The substitute bill changes the geographical allocation for the CTC pilot program sites to be no less than four located outside the Puget Sound region.
