HB 1186: Continuing access to Medicaid services

HB 1186 adds a new section to RCW 74.09, which states that medical assistance shall be provided for pregnant women in Washington whose family income is no greater than 193% of the federal poverty level.

1186 also adjusts income levels for affordable health coverage to children under the age of 19 by adjusting the family income rate from 250% to 312% of the federal poverty level.

Requires WA state Health Care Authority to take actions necessary to assure the receipt of federal financial participation under the medical assistance program and any other federal funding sources currently available or may become available in the future.
