HB1311 allows an individual in a registered apprenticeship program (for becoming a substance use disorder professional) to receive a trainee certificate. The individual must submit a declaration stating that they are enrolled in an approved education or registered apprenticeships program in order to be eligible for the certificate.
Amendment:
- Requires the apprenticeship programs to be registered and approved by the Department of Labor and Industries and approved by the Secretary of Health. Provides that the Secretary of Health must define the educational requirements of registered apprenticeship programs.
