HB 1365 adopts the bright futures guidelines of universal screening of children for autism and developmental delays, issued by the American academy of pediatrics, to improve early diagnosis and early intervention with appropriate therapies and services for children receiving Medicaid’s Apple Health for Kids.
Effective January 1, 2016, requiring universal screening and provider payment for autism and developmental delays recommended by the bright futures guidelines is subject to the availability of funds.
HB 1365 is the companion bill to SB 5317.
