HB 1642: Relating to a youth substance abuse prevention and education grant program

HB 1642 establishes the youth substance abuse prevention and education account in the state treasury. Funds appropriated by the legislature for the youth substance abuse prevention and education grant program and revenue form other sources must be deposited into the account. The grant program will provide funding for community-based and statewide substance education programs that offer proven and tested substance abuse education and prevention to youth ages 6-18. Criteria for receipt of a grant are specified in the bill. stThe liquor control board is to administer this grants.
