HB 2065: Relating to an integrated high quality continuum of early learning

Introduced in the 2013 session, HB 2065 requires the legislature to prioritize funding from marijuana excise taxes distributed annually to the general fund to go to Early Start, an integrated high quality continuum of early learning for children birth-to-five years of age.

Components of Early Start include (but are not limited to) home visiting and parent education and support programs, the early achievers program, integrated full-day, high quality early learning programs, and high quality preschool for children whose family income is at or below 110% of the federal poverty level.
