HB 2411 would amend current law to remove language relating to the rape of a child in the first degree. Current statue describes mandates that a person is guilty of rape in the first degree when the person has had sexual intercourse with another is less than twelve years old – and not married to the perpetrator – and the perpetrator is at least twenty-four months older than the victim. The bill would also amend current statute to remove the language related to marriage.
