HB 2713: Designating the revenue from the sales and use tax on feminine hygiene products to the women helping women grant program

HB 2713 would direct the sales tax from feminine hygiene products to the Women Helping Women grants to support to support services to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking, and the children of victims. The bill would establish the Women Helping Women grant program within the Department of Commerce. The funds would be required to reduce violent crimes against women and develop and strengthen victim services through training, technical assistance, data collection, and other resources for the apprehension, prosecution, and adjudication of persons committing violent crimes against women, and for the prosecution and safety of victims.
