HB 2854: Establishing pilot programs to plan for the needs of certain college students experiencing homelessness

HB 2854 requires the College Board to establish a pilot program to encourage four- year institutions of higher education to plan for the unique needs and challenges of students experiencing homelessness.

The unique needs include meals, clothing, laundry, housing and other basic needs, case management, and access to longer-term affordable housing.

The pilot program must include four college districts (two on each side of the Cascade mountain range) and will end on 7/1/2023.
