HR 1566: American Indian and Alaska Native Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (AI/AN CAPTA)

This bill would amend the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) to require equitable distribution of assistance to Indian tribes and increase amounts reserved for allottment to Indian tribes under certain circumstances. The bill would also mandate a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on child abuse and neglect in American Indian tribal communities.
