S 1658: Providing Urgent Maternal Protections (PUMP) for Nursing Mothers Act

This act will require employers to provide a reasonable break time for an employee to pump breast milk for their child for up to one year after the child’s birth. Employers will also be required to provide a place, other than a bathroom, that is private and free from intrusions in order to pump breast milk. Further, employers are required to pay the employee if they are not completely relieved from duty for the entirety of their break. This act will take effect 120 days after its enactment.
