Sponsored by Senator Kohl-Welles, SB5714 creates a task force to examine issues regarding public health and safety as it relates to firearms safety and firearms violence reduction. In addition to the members of the Senate and House, as well as members of various government agencies, the task force will include organizations active on the issue of second amendment advocacy, nonprofit organizations focused on firearms violence, child safety organizations, and mental health and chemical dependency service providers.
