SB 5822: Relating to notifying school districts of substantiated concerns of child abuse or neglect

Sponsored by Senator Pearson, SB 5822 states that if Child Protective Services has knowledge of substantiated abuse or neglect (not mere allegations), it will share that information with the school superintendent of the public school district where the child is enrolled. This information will remain confidential and may only be shared with school district personnel who have a legitimate educational interest.
