Working to transform the child welfare system.

SB 5883 requires human trafficking information to be posted in all public restrooms with the intent to increase public awareness. The model notice to be posted must be available in a variety of languages and include toll-free telephone numbers for people to call for assistance, including the numbers for the national human trafficking resource center, and the Washington State office of crime victims advocacy.

The cost of production, printing, and posting of the model notices will be paid by a participating nonprofit, and at no cost to the state.

The office of crime victims advocacy will approve the initial form and content of the model notice, and must review it yearly to ensure the information is accurate.
