SB 6215: Establishing a collaborative process to alleviate the burden on local courts to determine indigency through proof of receipt of public assistance

A collaborative process shall be established to alleviate the burden on local courts to determine indingecy. Receipt of public assistance shall be determined solely by the Department Of Social and Health Services or the Health Care Authority. The Office of Public Defense must develop a process through which the court will receive the determination.
