Upon the receipt of a report (and with exceptions provided in previous RCW) alleging abuse or neglect has occurred, the law enforcement agency or the department must investigate and provide the protective services section with a report and where necessary to refer such report to the court.
The bill also amends current law such that a person in good faith who makes are report or testifies shall be immune from any civil or criminal liability.
