SB 6482: Concerning licensing by the department of children, youth, and families

Changes are made within the licensing regulations for child care. The definition of “seasonal camp’ is clarified. Child cares are required to provide minimum “licensing requirements” instead of “health and safety standards”. Language is changed from “child care facility licensing compliance agreement” to “inspection reports”. The department may issue a child-specific license to individuals who opt to become license for placement of relative children in the department’s care who meet all minimum licensing requirements for foster families.  DCYF is authorized to establish child specific license criteria by rule.
