SB 6647: Concerning Department of Commerce data on homeless clients, spending, and performance

Transparency in government spending on assistance provided to persons who are experiencing homelessness is increased through a review of these data collection systems and the development of a web-based public portal.

Creates a public portal that will provide one-stop information on homeless assistance, spending, and performance.

The joint legislative audit and review committee must conduct a study of the reliability, accuracy, and completeness of the data at the Department of Commerce. The data to be collected is specified in detail.

An implementation plan shall be completed by September 2021 and be made available to the public by September 2022.
