SHB 1945: Improving communication between the department of children, youth, and families and caregivers

SHB 1945 states that the Department of Children, Youth, and Families shall establish a caregiver communication specialist position for the purposes of improving communication between the Department and caregivers. The bill also states that by October 1, 2023, the Department shall submit a report to the Governor and legislature describing how the Department could implement an automated notification system to let caregivers know updates on the child’s case and include recommendations regarding improving communications between DCYF and caregivers.
