House: Funding is provided to implement Second Substitute House Bill 1735 (Extended foster care). Eligibility for Extended Foster Care (EFC) is authorized for youth who are unable to engage in any other qualifying activities for EFC due to a documented medical condition.
Senate: Funding is provided to implement Second Substitute Senate Bill 5740, related to extended foster care. The bill established a new eligibility category for the Extended Foster Care for youth aged 18-21 who cannot participate in any of the required activities due to a documented medical condition. This category is subject to appropriation.
