FMAP Expansion

As an incentive to participate in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Medicaid expansion, early adopter states can collect an increased Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) for Presumptive SSI clients. Beginning at the standard 75 percent FMAP, expansion states will receive increased FMAP up to 90 percent by 2020.
