House: Additional funding is provided for the Long Term Care Ombuds program. $350 thousand per fiscal year is for meeting the immediate needs of individuals by advocating on behalf of and protecting residents of long-term care facilities from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Further, $350 thousand per fiscal year is for a new priority response unit that will investigate complaints and notify state agencies, local government agencies, prosecutors, and other relevant parties of high-priority violations.
