Governor: Initiative 502, passed by voters in 2012, authorizes the regulation, sale and taxation of marijuana for adults over the age of 21. Funding is provided for the marijuana education and public health programs created by the initiative.
House: Funding is provided for media-based education campaigns for youth and adults that provide medically and scientifically accurate information about the health and safety risks of marijuana use, consistent with the provisions of Initiative 502.
Senate: Funding will be provided for a media-based education campaign that provides medically and scientifically accurate information about the health and safety risks posed by marijuana use, including support surveillance, assessment and evaluation of the education campaign.
