Inappropriate boarding of patients at medical hospitals is prevented by funding up to 145 additional psychiatric community beds for individuals in need of psychiatric mental health services. Funding will improve public safety by ensuring that individuals determined to be a danger to themselves or others receive necessary mental health services.
