Single Bed Certification

Governor: Bed capacity in the community for mental health services is increased.
House/Senate: Funding is provided to reimburse Regional Support Networks (RSNs) for increased costs, as compared to utilization and costs in FY 2014, that are incurred in order to meet statutory obligations to provide individualized mental health treatment in appropriate settings to individuals who are detained or committed under the Involuntary Treatment Act (ITA). Prior to distributing funds to RSNs requesting reimbursement for costs relative to increased utilization, the Department must receive adequate documentation of such increased utilization and costs. Funding is also provided for staff to provide oversight to ensure that RSNs are meeting the statutory obligations.
