On July 30, alongside Children’s Home Society of Washington and the Washington State Frontiers of Innovation / DSHS, we participated in a presentation on the Innovations Clusters (FOI programs) as well as the System and Policy Level work currently underway.
The Frontiers of Innovation Initiative was launched by the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University in 2011 with the goal to drive science-based innovation that leads to dramatically larger impacts on the lives of young children whose needs (or the needs of the adults who care for them) are not being met by existing policies and programs.
With an audience full of child welfare advocates, stakeholders and community partners, it was an informative discussion on how we can better support the lives of young children in our state.
In case you missed it, you can still view the Presentation and listen to the event’s Audio.* And if you’re interested in taking a closer look at materials from the event, check out the TANF Overview, Snapshot of Washington and Discovery Process Summary.
