Kim Justice, P4C’s Director of Public Policy, was the 2025 Honoree at The Mockingbird Society‘s Fall Fundraiser held at the Northwest African American Museum on September 26. The award recognized her lengthy experience in public policy development, legislative advocacy, and executive leadership—and championing numerous initiatives aimed at advancing equity and opportunity for Washingtonians.
The annual event is a free community-centered celebration of Mockingbird’s mission to transform the foster care system and end youth homelessness. This year’s theme was “Joy and Justice” and the evening centered Mockingbird’s young advocates. Young people, families and community partners were invited to enjoy live music, entertainment, games and refreshments.
Mockingbird creates, supports, and advocates for racially equitable, healthy environments that develop young people at risk of or experiencing foster care or homelessness.
