E2SHB 1508, also known as the Washington Kids Ready to Learn Act, is intended to expand opportunities for students to have a healthy breakfast by requiring schools with large populations of low-income students to offer breakfast after the bell programs.

This bill would increase support for school-related farm programs and require an analysis of the breakfast after the bell program by December 1, 2026

This bill clarifies that all schools that provide students the opportunity to engage in educational activities during breakfast can consider that time instructional hours.
