This bill will reauthorize and expand funding for programs focused on protecting survivors and preventing family and domestic violence. The bill will increase the funding authorization level to $253 million. Additionally, the bill aims to expand support for and access to culturally specific programs, strengthens the capacity of Indian Tribes to exercise soveriegnty in responding to domestic violence in their communities by providing funding for tribal coalitions, and will create a grant program to help underserved communities.
