This bill would allow $500 million to be distributed to States for child abuse prevention and treatment services. The funds will be used for child protection agencies, to give caseworkers more access to mental and physical health referrals for families, and for caseworkers to provide emergency supplies to families as needed. An additional $1 trillion will be disbursed through community-based grants to go towards prevention programs. An additional $2 will be appropriated to expanding the child abuse prevention hotline. These funds would be available for fiscal year 2021.
