The Society for Research in Child Development’s Biennial Meeting will be here in Seattle from April 18-20. POC’s own J. Mark Eddy, Maureen Marcenko, and Susan Barkan will be among the presenters.
Dr. Marcenko’s presentation on The Context of Child Welfare Practice with Infants and Young Children is scheduled for 8:30 AM on Saturday, April 20, in Room 310.
Dr. Eddy will present during a roundtable entitled The Children of Incarcerated Parents: Lessons from the Field for the Conduct of Qualitative and Quantitative Research Studies at 4:10 PM. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Room 3B; will present a poster entitled A Randomized Controlled Trial of a Long-Term Professional Youth Mentoring Program for High Risk Children: A One Year Follow-Up at 11:40 AM on Friday, April 19, in Exhibit Hall 4EF; and is an author on a presentation that will be given by Dr. Joann Wu Shortt from the Oregon Social Learning Center during the symposium Incorporating Emotion Socialization and Emotion Coaching into Parent-Child Interventions at 8:30 a.m. on April 20, 2013 in Room 612.
Dr. Barkan will present a poster (at Poster Session 6) titled The Lessons Learned from Adapting and Implementing an Evidence-Based Prevention Program in Child Welfare Settings from 4-5 PM in Exhibit Hall 4EF (#119) on Thursday, April 18th.
