Angelique is an Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Social Work, and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences from Western Michigan University. Angelique’s focus is the well-being of older youth engaged in out-of-home care, with an emphasis on the development and testing intervention techniques within the child welfare and education systems. She is testing the efficacy of a foster, adoptive, and kinship parent training intervention on the placement stability and permanency of teens. She is also testing the efficacy of targeted college access and retention programs on post-secondary completion rates of students who have foster care histories.
