Ashley N. Rousson works on projects with Partners for Our Children and the State of Washington that align with her practice-informed research which aims to increase positive parenting and create safe homes where children can thrive following experiences of intimate partner violence and child maltreatment. She works across intersecting systems – including family courts, and child welfare – encountered by these families to mitigate harms and increase support. This work situates individuals and families within their broader ecological context and emphasizes the value and strength of relationships and community for healing and promoting health and well-being. Ashley received her MSW from the University of Michigan, and her PhD from the University of Washington School of Social Work.
