Working to transform the child welfare system.

Training Evaluation

The Partners for Our Children (P4C) Evaluation Team supports the Alliance for Professional Development, Training, and Caregiver Excellence and the Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP). Together CWTAP and the Alliance provide social work education and training for child welfare professionals and caregivers across Washington state. Our team provides critical research and evaluation support to strengthen child welfare professional development in service to improved outcomes for children and families impacted by the child welfare system.

We contribute to the field of child welfare education and training by understanding important trends and systematically evaluating training initiatives in Washington State. We do this by developing targeted evaluation studies, scanning literature, analyzing data, and sharing learning with child welfare evaluation colleagues.

Our team is taking action to advance racial equity and honor Tribal sovereignty. Our evaluations strive to assess learner experiences, environments, and curricula through this equity lens. We seek input from learners, facilitators, and partners to inform quality improvement efforts in training and social work education.
