HB 1621: Providing funding allocations to promote childrens health and social-emotional learning

To support the work of classroom staff, HB 1621 intends to enhance school funding by providing new allocations equivalent to one additional certificated instructional staff unit at each level of the prototypical school. School districts may use this funding for additional staff dedicated to supporting children’s health and social-emotional learning, such as school nurses, social workers, psychologists, guidance counselors, and parent involvement coordinators.
