SB 5912: Improving health outcomes for children on Medicaid

SSB 5912 states that the WA Health Care Authority shall ensure the periodicity schedules for providing early and periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment to children covered by Apple Health for Kids are aligned with the bright futures guidelines of the American academy of pediatrics or a comparable standard. Children covered under Apple Health for Kids include children who are under the age of nineteen who reside in Washington state and whose family income at the time of enrollment is not greater than two hundred fifty percent of the federal poverty level.
