SB 6200: Concerning crime victims’ compensation

Changes are made to crime victims’ compensation. If the victim is a minor, the victim may receive financial support for the cost of care if the minor victim’s injuries result in a legal custodian or guardian’s lost wages to care for the minor victim. No compensation shall be available for applicants within three years after the date of a criminal act (extended from two years).
