SB 6327: Relating to expanding the categories of offenses eligible for the parenting program with the department of corrections

SB 6327 expands the categories of offenses eligible for the parenting program with the Department of Corrections, adding the word ‘serious’ in front of violent offense — which means that the offender is eligible for the parenting sentencing alternative if, among several other criteria, he/she has no prior or current conviction for a felony that is a sex offense or serious violent offense.
