SHB 1408: Relating to developing a definition and model for family engagement coordinator and other terms used interchangeable with it

SSHB 1408 identifies the terms “family engagement coordinator,” “parent and family engagement coordinator,” and “parent involvement coordinator” are used interchangeably in various statutes in Title 28A RCW and the omnibus appropriations act. As such, the bill instructs the Office of Education Ombuds together with the Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability committee to develop and recommend to the education committees of the legislature of the term that is variously referred to by all three identified titles above and a model framework for such a position.
